ABOUT US

"Im Atemholem" is a slogan, a cry for hope, expressing the desire for free breathing. This slogan originated from the Nuremberg region's St. Katharinenruine monastery's nunnery during their struggle against the Black Death, expressing their shared hope. At that time, the nuns combined their wisdom with their slogan and distributed herbs and homemade cleaning agents to residents, compiling their recipes into a book. The desire for natural and free breathing was a beautiful hope for people then, and the "Im Atemholem" brand has continued this ancient recipe to the present day. This slogan has become a symbol of people's longing for a beautiful life, embodying the qualities of "natural" and "freedom," and combining modern technology, the brand brings high-efficiency and natural cleaning products to every family longing for a beautiful life.

Age

In the middle of the 14th century, during the era of the "First Reich" in Germany (1349 AD), the Black Death spread from present-day Italy's Genoa and Venice ports, crossing the Alps into what is now Germany, and spreading to Munich and Nuremberg areas. This plague left a profound impact on medieval Christianity.

However, the traces it left were as terrifying as the symptoms of the Black Death itself. In Boccaccio's Decameron, Giovanni Boccaccio states: "People avoided each other...relatives were cold, brothers were estranged, husbands were abandoned by wives; moreover, unbelievably, parents abandoned their children to their fate, leaving them without care or supervision, treating them as strangers."

Herbs

In Germany, herbs remain a core component of community pharmacies and are an essential medical resource. Germany is known as the "European Herbal Kingdom." The herbal market is thriving, with Germany accounting for over half of the European herbal market share, and Germany being the European country with the highest herbal usage. Almost any pharmacy in Germany carries plant-based medicines. Due to the influence of ancient Greek and Roman practices, the German medical community has long relied on plant-based prescriptions for treatment. Although synthetic drugs dominate modern German medicine, herbal remedies still play a significant role in the healthcare system. According to a survey from 1997 onwards, approximately 65% of the German population regularly uses herbal products, and 44% of the European herbal medicine market is in Germany, with herbal products accounting for 10% of the total German pharmaceutical market.
